Method #1
- Install Virtualdub with lagarith
choco install virtualdub lagarith ffmpeg
- Open VirtualDub
- Open capture AVI
- Set Video compression to lagarith and audio to PCM
- Capture
now you should have a good file to edit
pro tip:
losslessly remux into mkv and flac to save space and make it easier to open in the future
ffmpeg -c:v copy -c:a flac remuxedcapture.mkv -i captured.avi
